Internet as a basic human right
The internet plays a pivotal role in today’s education, information dissemination, and communication. It has become an essential tool for learning, fostering global connectivity, and empowering individuals to make informed decisions. Without the internet and the social connections it facilitates, the foundation of our digital democracies would weaken, potentially leading to their collapse. In a world deeply interdependent on digital networks, internet access is no longer a luxury but a necessity for participation in modern society.
Beyond its role in daily life, the internet is a critical resource for disaster management, risk assessment, and life-saving processes. Just as food and sleep are vital for survival, digital access is indispensable for a nation’s progress and resilience. A country without widespread internet access risks falling behind in global innovation, economic development, and governance, ultimately jeopardizing its stability and growth. The internet has transcended its role as a communication tool, becoming a lifeline for progress, security, and human well-being.
Though there are risks involved however we are up for the next billion users to be part of larger global community.
